Texas Children's Hospital - West Campus in Katy, TX is greater Houston's first suburban hospital designed exclusively for children. Pediatric patients receive trusted, expert care coupled with a convenient and accessible location for area families.
Texas Children’s Hospital – West Campus volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and be committed to volunteering once a week for a minimum of 3 consecutive hours to accrue 78 hours (6 months). Prospective volunteers are strongly encouraged to consider the time commitment, consistency, and dedication necessary to make the volunteer experience beneficial to both you as a volunteer and to the patients, families and Hospital staff we serve.
Volunteers support patients, families and staff through various volunteer assignments available from 6:00am through 11:30pm Monday to Friday and 10:00am through 11:30pm Saturday to Sunday.

The Summer College Volunteer Program (SCVP) is an opportunity for full time college and graduate students to volunteer at Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus during the summer months. SCVP volunteers will help Texas Children’s elevate the level of care we provide by supporting patients and families through a variety of volunteer assignments. Although the program does not offer opportunities in clinical exposure and/or medical professional shadowing, SCVP volunteers will have the ability to assist in various assignments consisting in patient interaction and experience the hospital setting.
SCVP volunteers are able to select a schedule that is convenient and works with other obligations such as employment, vacation, and summer courses, but is designed for individuals who have quite a bit of free time over the summer. Volunteer opportunities will be available weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Texas Children’s Hospital Junior Volunteer Program is a great opportunity for high school students at least 15 years of age, to gain experience providing customer service and support to patients and their families in a Hospital setting. While we do not offer opportunities for clinical exposure and/or shadowing Hospital staff, Junior Volunteers will learn about the healthcare environment through certain assignments.
