Countless children and their families have been touched by the care provided at Texas Children’s Hospital. Many of these families have been so grateful that they decided to give back to our organization in a big way.
The Worst Outcome -- The Best Cause
When their daughter Vanessa died from a heart condition, Janie and Ron Dale began to ask themselves what they could do to honor her memory. Their answer led them to start giving to research at Texas Children’s Hospital. The death of their daughter was the worst possible outcome a parent could face, but it resulted in their support of an absolutely wonderful cause.
The Link Between Money & Survival
When Michael Linn’s son died in 1989, he had a 50% chance of surviving his surgery. Thanks to medical research, 90% of today’s children survive the same procedure.
Saving Our Baby
Grateful parents Alan and Michelle Smith tell a story of appreciation to Texas Children’s Hospital for saving their daughter’s life. They are now proud to be philanthropic supporters so that more stories of survival are possible for other parents.
Playtime Gets Celebrity Boost
Sick kids now have a place for play therapy at Texas Children’s Hospital thanks to the generosity of a foundation started by NFL quarterback, Matt Schaub and his wife Laurie. Take a look at this special room and learn what it will do for the children in our care.
