The Legacy of Motown Gala

Thanks to your support, The Legacy of Motown Gala raised more than $83 million for Texas Children’s Cancer Center and Legacy Tower, and is now the highest-grossing fundraising gala in Texas history!

During the evening’s program, Texas Children’s President and CEO, Mark A. Wallace, excitedly announced that the new Legacy Tower will be named The Lester & Sue Smith Legacy Tower in honor of the Smiths who generously donated $50 million to Texas Children’s Hospital. The Lester & Sue Smith Foundation also underwrote all expenses for the evening, which means that every single dollar raised directly support Texas Children’s Hospital and the patients and families we serve.

We are immensely grateful to all of our sponsors and donors for “steppin’ to the beat” to make The Legacy of Motown Gala a chart-topping evening. Thank you again for your support!
